I have been on Metformin for about 2 weeks now with no indication of any side effects whatsoever. Last night and all day today I have had a mild headache and what feels like heartburn, indigestion or chest pain, kinda like there is a big lump in my chest and throat. Could this be a side effect of the Metformin and would it suddenly show up after 2 weeks or so? I haven't really eaten anything unusual or different and my exercise routine is the same as it has been for a year. My meds are the only real change I can think of right now. I am alittle tired but its almost that time of the month so the tiredness and headache aren't unusual right now, just the heartburn/chest pain issues. I noticed if I can burp (women can't do it on demand like alot of guys I know) it feels slightly better so I am pretty sure it is heartburn or indigestion and not chest pains.
